Explore the Isle of Skye

This tour has it all, rugged scenery, ancient castles delicious food, unique whisky and magical fairy pools, you won't be disappointed.

With its mountain ranges, miles of dramatic coastline and captivating history, the Isle of Skye is a truly magical place. The largest of the Inner Hebrides, its home to some of Scotlands most iconic landscapes.

After being picked up from your accommodation we will make our first stop just a few miles short of the Skye bridge at the enchanting Eilean Donan Castle. Eilean Donan is one of the most recognisable castles in Scotland. Chosen by Bishop Donan in 634AD as the site of a monastic cell, Eilean Donan is a true Scottish icon. Following our arrival we will make our way to the modern visitor centre where tickets can be purchased before crossing the bridge to the castle itself where you can wander at will to learn its history, look at ancient artifacts and even swing a claymore!

Fairy Pools

Leaving Eilean Donan we have a short drive to Kyle of Lochalsh where we cross the bridge to Skye. Our first destination on Skye will be the magical Fairy Pools near Glenbrittle. The Fairy Pools are a collection of rock pools of crystal clear spring water fed by a series of waterfalls from the Cuillin mountains. These famous pools entice visitors from all over the world as they make for some great ‘wild swimming’ for those brave enough to enter the cold water! There is a 30 minute walk to get to the first waterfall so make sure to take appropriate footwear.
